Victoria parkrun GP event part A
With the Victoria parkrun being in our GP but split into two weekends we had seven Harriers taking part in the first of the two weekends on Saturday. It was a nice sunny morning but still very cool with the early morning start. With a cold for the previous week I decided to wait for part B on the 4th June and just went to watch and hand out flyers for our upcoming Trail Races. A good sized field of around 300 set off and this being pacer Saturday maybe those that chose to run this week had made the right choice. There was several course bests and PBs ran from the Harriers and we now need to see who runs on the 4th to add all the times together for GP purposes. Todays times where, making his Harriers debut was Gary Clark with a fine opener of 19.20. Next in was Joanne McEvoy continuing her good form in 20.15 followed closely by Jim Holmes in 20.32. Next and setting a new course best was Stuart Waugh in 21.44 followed by Richard Lawton in 22.02 just 2 secs outside his best. Next in and setting a new PB was Gordon McInally in 23.07. Colin Banks was our last Harrier in but announced before the start he couldn't find his barcode. Fortunately we checked his finishing token and he placed 108th so the two times outside him are 23.12 and 23.18 and he falls somewhere in that range. A couple of other results of interest are one of our ex juniors Cameron Green ran a fantastic 19.50 and Gordons partner Marion O'connor ran 21.42 . Roll on the 4th June to see where all these times fit in with others.

Great performances all round there, Joanne continuing to display great form and Gordon marching ownwards with a pb in every race more or less. Encouraging to see Gary turning up for his first club session on Thursday and being immediately drawn in to a Grand Prix race. He is going to be a good one!
