Club Training Thursday 26th January

Thursday is another threshold session with slightly reduced total volume compared to recent sessions but longer rep durations. The session is at the Stewartfield loop in a clockwise direction. Take the usual route to the loop via Lidl, West Mains and Stewartfield Rd (and return to the club via the same route after the reps).

The session is then 2 x 10 mins at threshold with 3.5 minute jog recoveries.

Remember that threshold is the effort that could be maintained for 1 hour in a race. The pace will vary depending on hills and wind but the effort level as indicated by breathing and heart rates should remain the same. If you can say more than a few words, you are going too slow; if you can't speak at all, you are going too fast.
