For those who have put their name down for the Devils Burdens Hill Relay the plan is to do the recce on Sunday 17th January. Due to the navigational aspect of this event and the potentially poor visibility associated with the winter weather, it is important that those taking part in legs 2, 3 and 4 take part in the recce if at all possible (leg 1 runners know who you are already and that leg will not be recced next weekend as it is more of a straightforward trail leg with plenty of people to follow).
The recce will take up most of the day. Maps will be provided in advance. Bring warm clothing and provisions but not so much that it hinders your ability to run! The selling point is that there should be cakes, etc in Falkland at the finish.
We will sort out precise timings and travel arrangements through the week.
We still need a few more to complete the teams so please leave your name here if you can participate. It would be great if we could even make a third team.
