Devil's Burdens Hill Relay and Scottish Veterans Road Relay

Once again two of our favourite events take place on the same weekend; the Devils Burdens Hill Relay in Falkland, Fife on Saturday 23rd January and the Scottish Veterans Road Relay at Strathclyde Park on Sunday 24th January.

The Devils Burdens is a toughie requiring teams of 6 and most legs require some experience of off road hill running (and map reading) in winter conditions. As such, all of our participants will be advised to participate in a pre-race recce day, which will take place at least a week or two in advance of the race. If you would like to participate then please leave your name and details here.  Those who have expressed an interest are listed here. Further details here. We have made our mark on this event in various ways over the last three years and this year an extra checkpoint has been put in especially for our benefit! It is a truly great event though making the most of our wonderful Scottish landscape.

The SVHC Road Relay is less of a toughie but is only open to the oldies (well 35+) men and women. The event takes place on Sunday 24th January with the first legs off at 11am. Each leg is a complete lap of the loch, starting/finishing just along the shoreline from the boat house and sports centre. There are 3 or 4 legs per team depending on age group or male/female. Please leave your name here if you are able to participate and those entered are here.
