Harriers' Christmas Dinner/Party Night?

Genevieve has kindly offered to look in to organising a Christmas Dinner/Party night for the Harriers; the suggested evening is Saturday 13th December. This being the night before the Christmas Handicap, it provides a ready made opportunity to improve your handicap, either directly or indirectly.

It is fully appreciated that this is a busy time of year for all so full participation cannot be expected but it would be nice to keep this Harriers' tradition going in some shape or form, small or large!

The proposal is to select a venue from a short-list as detailed below. Indicate your preference using the on-line voting thingy on the lefthand menu (the system will only allow one vote per PC). All (polite) comments on the pros and cons of the establishments will be considered. The poll will be live for 1 week after which names will be taken, deposits collected and the booking confirmed.

What: 3 courses (tandoori and European food)+ entertainment(karaoke/disco/live [?] depends what night)

Di Maggios gets my vote - mediocre grub but a good party with Gerry on the Karaoke!

I'd say the Village Tandoori. I've been to Christmas nights in both Di Maggios and Legends before and the food each time has been atrocious. I'd like a Christmas night out with decent grub.

My wife was at legends last year and said meal was fab, although a bit pricey.A decent curry at the village tandoori is a good idea, though it might backfire in the christmas handicap.LOL.As for Di MAGGIOS,NO.Cheers jamie
