Auldhouse Time Trial

There were many 5k performance standards achieved at the July Auldhouse Time Trial. Fine windless conditions made this the perfect opportunity for fast times on this tough course. On his first attempt at the time trial, Andrew J Buchanan set the fastest time of the night with 18:28. Second fastest time of the night was set by Charlie McDougall with a tremendous 20:11, easing every closer to that sub 20 time and achieving a very comfortable M65 Gold performance standard. Julie Beveridge was third overall and continues to string together consistent 5k performances with a time of 20:19 and an F35 bronze standard. Not to be outdone, Joanne McEvoy also set an F35 Bronze standard time of 20:55. Stuart Waugh completed the performance award set with another, steadily improving M65 Bronze award time of 22:14 (the hills making the difference compared to his recent 21:23 M65 silver performance at the SVHC 5k championship in Clydebank). We also had one of our Wednesday night juniors out, Chris McCarron, out for his first attempt at the Auldhouse circuit, setting a time of 22:09. Geo Ferguson and Gordon McInally set course bests, demonstrating steady improvement through the season.
