Contrary to the previous day, perfect running conditions met the participants of the SVHC Half Marathon Championships at Clydebank. The route was a straight forward out and back along the canal path towards Maryhill. Several locks meant an incline of 150 ft on the way out but the same locks provided some welcome downhill portions on the way back.In a sprint finish, the race was won by C. Upson in 1:19:34. First lady was J.MacLean in 1:21:58.The only Calderglen Harriers representative was Jim Holmes who finished 9th in a time of 1:30:46 and was first M40.
Thanks to Jim for the race report and well done on finishing in exactly the same time as he did one month previously at the Glasgow Half. Mr Consistency!
