As one of the last races in this years Calderglen Grand Prix series, all the contenders were present. First Harrier back was Scot Hill (37:49), comfortably ahead of Eddie Reid (38:45) and Grand Prix leader Kenny Davidson (39:20). Stuart Waugh maintained his lead over Jim Holmes and David Herbertson (40:35, 40:44 and 40:50 respectively) throughout the race although they were always close together as shown in the photograph from early in the race. George Stewart is still not recovered from a virus and coughed his way to a time of 42:39 whilst Russell Couper found the undulating course hard going (55:59).
In the lady's event, Frances Maxwell stretched her Grand Prix lead in a time of 44:20 followed by the ever improving Sandra Reid in 48:51.
In the junior 2k, Nicola Reilly finished 5th girl in 10:12 with Stuart Hill demonstrating a very fast sprint finish in 12:20.
