Dechmont Law Trail Race Results

Surprisingly breezy conditions greeted the squad of Harriers who travelled through to Livingston for the Dechmont Law 10k Trail Race and children's 2k fun run.
As one of the last races in this years Calderglen Grand Prix series, all the contenders were present. First Harrier back was Scot Hill (37:49), comfortably ahead of Eddie Reid (38:45) and Grand Prix leader Kenny Davidson (39:20). Stuart Waugh maintained his lead over Jim Holmes and David Herbertson (40:35, 40:44 and 40:50 respectively) throughout the race although they were always close together as shown in the photograph from early in the race. George Stewart is still not recovered from a virus and coughed his way to a time of 42:39 whilst Russell Couper found the undulating course hard going (55:59).
In the lady's event, Frances Maxwell stretched her Grand Prix lead in a time of 44:20 followed by the ever improving Sandra Reid in 48:51.
In the junior 2k, Nicola Reilly finished 5th girl in 10:12 with Stuart Hill demonstrating a very fast sprint finish in 12:20.

The Grand Prix has been updated and the gaps are tightening up. Next race is the Rouken Glen 10k this Thursday 12th June.
