I know he’d appreciate any extra support anyone could give him no matter how small.

Alloa Half Marathon and Clydebank 5k
Five Harriers ran in the Alloa Half Marathon today and there were excellent performances all round. With an early start and more or less perfect conditions, Gerry McParland was first Harrier home in 1hr 23mins 39secs followed closely by Eddie Reid in 1hr 23mins 47secs (Pb by 3mins 15secs, so well on track for the marathon in a few weeks). Next was Ian Hughes in a time of 1hr 25mins 51secs, Jim Holmes in a time of 1hr 33mins 47secs and John McBride in a time of 1hr 44mins 12secs.
Thought I’d also give Blair a mention as he ran his first race yesterday as a Harrier in 2 ½ years at Clydebank 5K in a time of around 16mins 35secs (official time to follow).
Thanks to Eddie for the report. Gerry (M40) and Eddie (M45) both achieved half marathon Bronze performance standards with those times whilst Blair achieved a 5k M35 Gold performance standard (subject to confirmation of official time). Well done to all.
