A New Race and a New parkrun

Davie Searil has highlighted a couple of new events which you may find of interest:

As we don’t get many new local races it might an idea to mention this one on the blog:

http://www.southsidesix.org.uk/
especially as we are already one down this year, the EK half.

I’m not suggesting for one minute that my club mates are tight but, at 37.5p per mile, this must appeal! It’s certainly the cheapest race I’ve ever entered!

and ...........
for anyone that’s interested the first official running of the new Falkirk parkrun

Saturday 16th July at 09:30 in Callendar park

I may go and give Falkirk a try if anyone else is interesred although it looks a slow course and the southside six looks fun but the website is a bit unclear about marshalling at road crossings etc or is it everyone for themselves. does anyone know.

Hi,

We're hoping to have at least one marshal on each of the main road crossings. Whilst they can't stop the traffic they can push the buttons!

The route will also be well marked so no-one should get lost and we'll have a couple of sweepers running the course.

Hope this helps.

The Southside Six added 75 additional places today.

There are 10 Harriers entered at the moment with 31 places left.

Looks like fun : )
