Monday could be a little bit of a battle against the wind and rain. However, it is a threshold session which is effort rather than pace specific, so this means that it does not matter if the wind is holding your pace back, just run to the threshold level of effort (2 or 3 word pace; comfortably hard; sustainable for an hour when fresh in a race situation).
The session is 5 x 6 minutes at threshold with a 2 minute jog recovery. Use the Carron Place circuit which should be a little bit sheltered but do be careful of fallen branches on the pavement section linking the entrance and exit to Carron Place. The warm up and cool down is via Strathaven Road and Greenhills Rd.
