Congratulations to Frances Maxwell and Jim Holmes on winning the Calderglen Harriers Grand Prix series for 2008. Despite being plauged with injuries through the year, Frances still managed to string together a series of 10 out of the 16 races. Sandra Reid made a late start to her first year in the Grand Prix to finish second, just ahead of Mary Goldsmith.
The men's competition went down to the last race where Jim Holmes took the title away from long term leader Kenny Davidson. The task was made slightly easier by the fact that Kenny was on holiday. However, this was Jim's 4th Grand Prix title making him the "winniest" person in Calderglen Grand Prix history. A late charge from rapidly improving David Herbertson brought him up to 3rd position. In the juniors, Ben Ferguson was again victorious. Use the Grand Prix link in the side menu to see the full results of the men and women's Grand Prix.
