Amsterdam is Go!

Kenny finishes in 3:25:06! Brilliant pacing.
And Billy has finished in 3:27:50, a massive pb.
Frances must have sprinted the last 2km to make up several minutes, finishing in another huge pb of 3:33:49!

Huge congratulations to all three on sticking to their training plans and running with great form and pace judgement to pb's all round.

Well Frances, Billy and Kenny have made it to the start and are off and running. Frances was in a different start group to Billy and Kenny, starting 15 minutes after them. Here are the live splits (note that you will need to refresh/reload the blog page every so often to see the latest splits):

At 25k, Kenny and Billy are slowing from low 3:20 to just inside 3:30 pace. Meanwhile at halfway, Frances is gradually getting faster with an eta of 3:34. Will there be a change of lead?

Billy and Kenny have stabilised at 31k on 3:30 pace and looking good. Frances slipping back a little at 26k.

Kenny has picked up the pace through 35 and 36k, heading for well under 3:30 whilst Billy remains stable on 3:30 pace and Frances has stabilised on 3:36 pace through 35k. Its looking good for all three Harriers.

Kenny is staying right on pace for 3:27 something with 2km to go. Billy is accelerating and may bring himself back in under the 3:30! No sign of any wheels falling off here.

Frances inside the last 2km and still maintaining 3:36 pace.

Thanks for the support from everyone at the club. It was really great to get so much encouragement both before and after the race. We each ran well and were pleased with our times. Billy was 16th in his age group, Frances was 25th and Kenny was 75th.
Next year its Frankfurt so get training and see if we can get a team ready for October '16.

I remember this as a great course (1/2 marathon) with a great finish in the old Olympic stadium. Well done Harriers!

Well done all on great times. Especially Bily getting an all time pb as a vintage. I always thought Kenny & Billy were joined at the hip, but it taking 35k of a marathon to split them up is taking it a bit far.
Anything Malcolm can do, we can also do, blogging from the other side of the world. Nice to check out the Harriers blog on Bondi beach
