25th Anniversary Archive

Thanks to all who have contributed copies of old photos, documents and newspaper articles tracing the activities of the club and its members over the past 25 years. David Herbertson has been actively scanning away and uploading these to the web. You can see what we have so far here. The documents appear in the order in which they were uploaded but you can do all sorts of fancy searches to look for specific tags or key words. If anyone has any further documents or photos to upload then please scan them in and provide them on a CD or memory stick to David. Alternatively, David can provide you with instructions that allow you to upload photos one at a time directly to the photo album. For site security reasons we will not publish these instructions directly on the web. You can also access the album directly from the menu on the left.

Hi all,

Just to confirm that what would be particularly useful is if folks could find articles, and preferably some high res pictures/scans of key events in the history of the Harriers. Throw aside your modesty and have lets have some visibility on things like:

Race wins & Podium finishes
Team Prizes
Category Prizes
Long running Harriers traditions (eg Brampton, West Highland Way, Scottish Relays)

and any big one offs.

What about winning a medal at the UK Masters - anyone got a photo?

Please note that high res versions would be good because we may have an application for the images uploaded once the anniversary year is nearing completion.

Also if you have some material relating to particular episodes/historical events the Harriers were involved in, it would be good to have them as a milestone too.

Thanks

David

Have enjoyed looking through the stuff so far. If you look very closely at the 1998 EK News article, you will see me in the fun run. I'm wearing a black hat. I was a spotty 15 year old at the time.
I've found one or two more Calderglen things to contribute from when I was in Sweden in 2004.
It is clear that the years have been kind to some but not others though I'm not saying who falls into each category!
